This was my first book, published in 1993, but it started its life earlier still, as a song which I wrote for children’s television. Click here to watch Malcolm and me singing the song. Or you can hear a more professional recording on various streaming platforms such as Spotify.
The words tell the story from the little old lady’s point of view, but I love how Axel’s pictures let you see how the animals feel.
