The third book about the detective Ladybird. This time she’s at the zoo instead of the farm, and the thieves are planning to steal the Queen’s crown, so she needs to think of an extra cunning plan.

As well as all the zoo animals, the Queen’s two corgis feature in this book. They were still alive when I wrote the story, and I was delighted to find that their names were Holly and Willow (which conveniently rhymed with golly and pillow).
Here is a picture of Lydia on stage, drawing some of the animals from this and other stories.
