During two of the Coronavirus lockdowns Malcolm and I did a lot of filming at home. The result was two series of broadcasts, called “Julia Donaldson and Friends”. These went out weekly to children cooped up at home. I read some of the stories, showing pictures from the books, while others I acted out with Malcolm. We even went into a local Deep Dark Wood to film The Gruffalo. The “Friends” are all the lovely illustrators, who took part in the broadcasts, filming themselves drawing characters from the books.
