This is an e-learning course on Writing Children’s Picture Books. It’s designed for adult writers, new or experienced, but should also be interesting for illustrators who want to turn their hand to writing, for teachers of children’s literature and even for schoolteachers or librarians who want to help children with their creative writing. The course consists of 27 lessons (a total of 6 hours) on all aspects of creating a picture book, from the germ of an idea through to publication and beyond. Axel Scheffler also takes part in one of the lessons, as do my agent, my editor and the film producer Michael Rose. Here are some pictures taken in the recording studio.
